I've handily chosen this picture from Feist's fan album because it is a nice picture of hands, some fine handiwork it is at that.
Feist is up for an award in the FAN CHOICE category at the Junos, the Canadian version of the American Awards to the British Men of Science. Just kidding. It's a Canadian music awards programme, and this is where you come in. Take your clicking hand and mouse-click over here. If you see fit, and if in a fit of Feists, you'll know what to do from there (a fit of Feists, if you're reading this in the Eastern Hemisphere, is quite similar to a shiver of sharks, almost a murder of crows).
If you have a bag, and will travel, you could win a trip to the award show at the link above. If you're one of those super lucky sorts, send us your lottery picks (Ontario 649), then enter to win the chance to present the FAN CHOICE award to the winner at the show (which, if she's the lucky sort, could be Feist).
Signing off as I'm off to enter. I've always wanted to see Vancouver in March.
P.S. Thank you to K. Mercer for submitting this fan-tastic photo.

"Must be a legal Canadian resident to vote."
Are there any Canadian boys out there who would be interested in marrying a Colombian girl? (or girls? I'm not picky and gay marriage is legal in Canada I believe.) I have a bag, and will travel.

I voted, though I'm not from Canada. :) I used my uncle's phone cause he lives in Toronto. I hope Feist wins best music video as well.

As a non-Canadian resident, I guess that the only thing I can do is to wish you luck, Feist. Oh! And if you perform during the ceremony, do not forget to mess it all up like you did in 2005! That rocked! ;)

Do you have to be Canadian to vote for Feist to win the award or you only need to be Canadian to win the Juno prize?

I didn't understad the 2005 mess up at first. But I knew it wasn't Feist's fault. And last year she had a pretty embarrasing moment when singing the last part of Sealion and the mic started to make that noise. But the audience loved it and it became a memorable performance. I love how she manages to control the crowd. :)

Good luck dear Feist!
As a European I can not vote for you, but I'll keep listening to your wonderful music and hope you will win!

Leslie,
just been listening to "mushaboom" as an example of how to handle percussion. what a beautiful tune! and the production is brilliant - there's a whole universe just in the percussion section, and the way the tonality emerges out of the percussive aspects of the respective instruments
beautiful work!
lately making a compilation of jazz tunes over the whole history of the form. listening to Dusty Springfield do bacharach's "look of love" reminded me of your wonderful voice. maybe its time for a another remake, tho it'd be hard to top that original - and there've been so many lousy remakes. it's not dated production like the BeeGee's. admittedly i'm probably a lousy judge of such things being so out of touch with the popular culture

E, what embarrassing moment? That Juno performance was perfect! One of her best performances in my opinion. In fact, I just watched the video again on youtube to see if I could catch the "noise" and didn't notice anything. Gave me chills once again. She rocked it. AWESOME.

Hope you win!
Well, I know that this has nothing to do with the post, but I found this on flickr and it's just beautiful:

Wow! I absolutely love this artist. The guitar sounds she projects are amazing. I especially love the sound of the short lick in Honey, Honey. It sounds like a Gibson ES335 through a vintage Fender twin with a classic compression pedal with an overdrive.
Truly amazing sound.
Great work Ms Feist
