Entering the ballroom I was immediately encouraged to see the entire setup for the show was ready to go on stage. All instruments were out and waiting to be played after the opening act. Had I known it would take over an hour for Feist to hit the stage after the opener I would not have bought tickets to the show. It was extremely disrespectful. To take that long to sound check is absolutely unheard of, especially after an opening band consisting of ONE PERSON! I have never been angrier at a concert, and I hope that there was some technical difficulty, because I only heard four songs before my girlfriend and I had to head to our train, as we are both music teachers, and need to be up at 5:30 AM. I'm not going to the show tonight, but I hope someone in your sound crew reads this and realizes that they are killing the crowd energy. Unbelievable....
By far one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Feist's voice is ridiculous and she can shred. Great arrangements of songs and visuals. She got the audience to participate - great encore performance. Its rare that a band sounds better live than on their albums. I would definitely recommend seeing her live before you die.
I am going to have to agree with Mike. I love Feist, but was dissapointed in the wait. When she started performing I thought, "Okay, now the show will begin," but the songs made me so sleepy with the slow tempo. A long train ride home awaited me and I felt like leaving early. Amazing voice live, but I don't think it was really worth it.
I like to pride myself in having experienced my share of concerts. Feist has a way of singing my soul and that night I felt it move throughout me. It did take a while for her to come out but when she took that stage her voice captivated me like no other performer ever has before. She was AMAZING!
