I saw Feist's performance at Deer Lake Park last night, it was amazing as usual!

I have a question...she performed a song that i have never heard before. The lyrics were something about the sunset is a love song for the moon...no one could ever love you as much as i do...it was so beautiful! Can you please tell me what the title is and if it is a released single or a new song. I have Let It Die and the Reminder but I dont have her first album and am not sure if this song is on it.

Please let me know, thank you so much!

oh, my god. what an amazing performance. ! every song was spot-on, a perfect 10. congratulations to ALL the performers for a job well-done. weakerthans were great, and the merpeople totally stole the show (:

i just LOVED the projected background art, so 'low-tech' but WAY more meaningful than some big fancy effects show, and complimented every song perfectly. and the paper snowflakes near the beginning made me giggle.

are you still trying to think of a way to play broken telephone for your next concert, feist? :P

sincerely,
your loyal mermaid
ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS I'VE EVER BEEN TO. WHAT A BLAST! < 3

Amazing fantastic show... my first time seeing Feist and I was blown away! She is so charming and humble, and one of the most talented musicians to come around in a long time!

Lindsay- I am dying to find that song too, it was so adorable. I got a (bad) recording of it on my phone last night, the chorus lyric was something like "no one can love you more than me...". It's not off Monarch or any other albums, so if anyone knows it please let us know! Thanks :)

... I'm still mesmerized. Even though I lined up 6 hours in advance, to be 3rd in line, and waiting in the hot sun would have normally made me dehydrated, my thirst was quenched first by the weakerthans, and then by Feist. Every song made me have shivers, and some eye contact from her doesn't hurt either. Front row was very nice. I wrote her a poem and gave it to her drummer to give to her. I hope she got it. Wonderful show... so good.

AAAH!! Honestly, everytime I come see you you just get better and better! It was awesome how almost every song was different from the original CD version, it must have taken a lot of time and effort to modify the songs. I especially liked the drums!

My sister and I got up pretty close to the stage for the encore, and you can bet we were cheering our hearts out after every song! I was about to yell out Lover's Spit right before you did Let it Die too.. I didn't want it to end!

All I could think about during and after the concert was how ridiculously amazing it would be if you came out with a live CD!

COME BACK SOON! PLEASE!

Replying to Lindsay: I've heard from others that the Sunset song was actually being called Sunset on the setlist, and it's a new song. It's not on her first album, so no worries.

I've been in love with Feist since the days of Broken Social Scene and previous to this show I had seen her once before in Victoria last May (2007). She is absolutely incredible live and I would pay to see her play again a million times over if I could (and if she would play that many times haha).

The concert itself was a wonderful experience. The venue was beautiful, the weather was perfect. I wasn't aware that The Weakerthans were opening but it made my day even better as I have been a fan of theirs for quite some time. And of course, Leslie was lovely as per usual.

I'm curious though too about the song she sang about the sun and the moon (I have a video I'll try and upload of part of it)? It was the sweetest thing I've ever heard and would love to know the name of it!

All in all, it was a perfect summer night and I am so glad I was able to be there

the day was long we had to get lost once or twice; we are from little vancouver island. but once we joined the snake of people lining up, the paper butterflies started. once inside we got our spot and waited for the festivities to perspire, once the sound check guy was out the croud hummed with anticipation. then a woman not leslie came with a camera and i didnt even sign a consent form.
there she was miss feist in white and electric pink splatted knee length dress. we as a croud said the only thing that naturaly happends WHOO-HOO. then the siren on stage captivated us all with her voice and guitar and piano. the rest is for me as a memmory. i sang along to every song. and will forever owe you one for giving me one of the best nights of my life.
special propps the the guitarist who was wearing the pink or red (i hope)shirt. was he actualy playing the slide-guitar if so he posesses a beautiful tallent because those are hard hard hard to play.

My first Feist show, and I have to say this was one of the best shows I've ever seen. <3 Feist! Even more than before. I don't know if she reads this stuff, but I have to say she just has a wonderful voice, and I love her stage presence. Every song is great to begin with, and sounded even better in real life. Hah, anyway, great show and the shadow work was so beautiful. Very moving at so many points.

Also, props to the Constantines riff thrown into one of the guitar solo. I wonder if I'm the only one who noticed? I'm sure that couldn't be the case.

Deer Lake Park is such a great venue... the feel you get from an outsoor summer concert is just so amazing, so much more so than indoors.

Anyway, I am looking forward to her next appearance in the land of the mer-people.
