I was a member of the press with b5media during the event, so I was lucky enough to be right up in front of Leslie. It was a great show. Here's a video of 1234. I took a pile of photos of Leslie as well if anyone is interested.
I agree! It was my birthday and probably the best one ever, Feist was more than amazing and completely captivating. I long to hear her voice live again! Come to Florida, Feist!
Hi ...
I didn't really know too much about Feist before the London show but saw her on the Grammy's so decided to go. Well...it was awesome. Her singing is amazing ..very unique voice and to my surprise very powerful live when she wants to be and very moving and candid in some moments. The band supported her very adeptly ..moving and weaving through the different rhythyms and textures of the songs. I love the layers.
She has a wonderful sense of humour too and timing ..in the middle of a song ..getting the crowd to change from clapping to snapping their fingers along to the more melodic song. Nice touch.
I loved the group of people who orchestrated the unique "stage" show. Much nicer than flashing pods!! hahha.
Finally ..my 2 favourite moments ...when there was the bright red heart shining against her shadow projected on the big screen ..and then the show ended with Feist brushing the spotlight beam on the stage down to darkness...a touch of sadness signalling the end of the show!!!
Thanks for the great memory!!!!
Nick
That was an absolutely amazing show! It blew my mind. I love your big red guitar, and the projector art is the most creative things Ive seen any band do live.
I went to this concert as an early birthday present and it was sooo worth it.
And I won a poster!
Thank you Feist!
Dear Feist,
I just wanted to thank you for sharing your beautiful, evocative and touching songs with us all.
It's almost impossible to pick any song over another but I found the version of "I'm sorry", even more plaintive than the recorded version; throughout the night your vocals were even more moving than the record; truly lovely !
One glitch; my daughter Grace who is 7, went down to the front of the stage to try to get your autograph after the dancers were invited up (fun!) and the ushers forced her back to her seat. So she spent the last song crying (not fun :( ). Not your fault I know but still,,,
Mind you, this morning she was talking completely positively about the concert and how fun it was to sing "1,2,3,4" along with you :) !
Thank you again.
Matthew
Not certain if there is anything you can do about this and its not your fault
Hi feist... thank you for your absolutely amazing performance here in ottawa...We loved it and also the shadow art was beautifull... we enjoyed every minute of it.
Good luck!
It was a brilliant gig and can't wait to see her live again. I would recommend anyone to go and see her live she is fantastic.
We drove to London from Waterloo to see the show.
The show was great. Very charming.
We got married less than a month ago, and Mushaboom was our first dance. So it was great to see it live so soon after.
Come play Waterloo sometime.
Cheers,
Ian
