Review of Show in San Diego, California by Jake

Security people weren't being jerks. They were very cool and slow to respond. Feist obviously didn't understand the situation. My wife and I spent big bucks to sit in the second row and it was our one summer spend-all. When a bunch of $10 ticket holders from the back stormed up the isle to the front and stood in the isle we couldn't see a thing except other people's butts. That didn't seem real fair. I heard several other people up front ask the security guards if they could please have the people go back to their seats because we couldn't see a thing and it was true. The people standing in the isle became very hostile to us and the security people making threats and many insults, and flipping us off. I thought they (security) did a great job keeping everything cool as it was about to get out of hand.

Beyond that it was a really great show. Feist is really a special person.

I feel the responsibility of sharing my experience with the world wide web.
I loved the whole show, from beginning to end. The intro was amazing. "Help is on its way." The two girls in charge of the visual effects were so creative. You're best host ever. The snowing effect was funny.
The only one thing that I didn't like was the security. They were being real jerks, JERKS! But then you sticked it to the man like a true punk rocker would.
As closing remarks, I would've like you playing more songs from Let it Die, like "One Evening" or "Secret Heart" or "Inside & Out" or "Tout Doucement." But whatever. Amazing amazing show anyways. I just can't shut up about it. I really can't. Am I going crazy? Feist makes me crazy.
BRAVO FEIST, BRAVO!

Review of Show in San Diego, California by Corey

I was at the show in San Diego and I could not believe how rude you were about the security. They are there for your protection and safety of others. You stood on stage and talked bad about them doing their job, and by you saying that you told the crowd they can do what they want. You should stick to your songs and leave the rest to the pros.

Review of Show in London by LeeAnn

the band was amazing..I had no idea. BUT, I want to thank the house sound and lighting crew. I've seen tons of shows at Humphrey's, and heard it all. But tonite was genius. The house was totally crisp and clean..all of it. And not to appear ignorant, but was it the house that did the vocal looping of Leslie? OMG, the audience was stunned. OK, the ones who could appreciate the moment. Thank you so much!

Leslie, you were great and so funny and comfortable with the audience. How do you not get stage freight? We really appreciated some little jokes. Thanks for making it so original and spontaneous, especially with that on que helicopter.
Keep doing what your doing and don't lose your personality!

Loved loved loved it!!! I've seen Feist all the way from the Troubador to the Hollywood Bowl - with some shows in between - every show is always a winner! XO

Review of Show in Los Angeles, California by Rachael

The show was amazing. It was my first time at the Hollywood Bowl and my first time seeing Feist live. It was a perfect evening.

WoW. Loved your show. There weren't many of us "old farts"(over 50)in the audience. But we really enjoyed the show anyways. Thanks to KCRW for playing your songs.

Review of Show in Los Angeles, California by Edwin

It was such an amazing show. I'm always disappointed with the short sets of music at the Bowl though...oh well.

Does anyone know the name of the new song she played in the middle of her set? When she said she usually plays it for the "intimate venues"? I've been looking but have found nothing. If you have video, put it up on Youtube ASAP!

I had to see Feist again after I saw her perform in Northampton. This concert was just as fun and you (Feist) were AMAZING! Beyond words, really. When you sand the slower songs like "Gatekeeper" and "The Water", your voice was heart-wrenchingly beautiful. I loved "Sea Lion Woman" so much and couldn't help but dance and sing along to it.

Great job and I look forward to seeing you perform again!

I feel it all...

last night's show at the Greek was absolutely perfect. Feist and the band were clearly enjoying themselves. they played all of the favorites, but it wasn't like just hearing the CDs played really loudly (with great sound) - they were all unique live versions. the shadow visuals were amazing too!

overall it was a truly beautifully done show. I am a huge Feist fan so I knew I would love it, but my bf, who was not very familiar with Feist also loved the performance (and got increasingly into it as the show went on.) the audience was great too, lots of people knew the words and of course it's the Greek so the sound quality was awesome.

here are some of the songs (not in order, sorry!):
When I was a Young Girl
Gatekeeper
My Moon My Man
Mushaboom
Limit to your Love
I Feel it All
Honey Honey
The Water
1234 (before the song she said something about the ipod shuffle and then "this is going to haunt me for the rest of my life"... and then later in the song she said "I have to take back what I said about the ipod because it just seems mean-spirited")
Past in Present
How my Heart Behaves
Brandy Alexander
Intuition
Inside & Out (OMG as soon as I saw the mirrorball I was SO hoping she'd do it! but she d'in't and d'in't and then JUST when I was giving up hope... YAY!)
Lonely Lonely
The Park
Let It Die
and a couple I didn't recognize. I *think* that is all of them but I could be wrong. if anyone remembers any others I'd love to know them! she started off with an acapella behind a screen, and the second (of the three) encore number I didn't know... one was Let it Die. not sure what the others were, sorry!

overall, her presentation and energy were off-the-charts stellar, with great audience interaction and wonderful musicianship from the whole band. I freakin' ADORE Feist. I really see her as the next generation from Joni Mitchell (poetry, singing, musicianship... and they're both Canadian!) and I do love her so.

"... now at last, I know."

can't wait to see her again!

Review of Show in Berkeley, California by Steve

Amazing show last night at the Greek! I was happy to see the way Feist's show has developed since I saw her last in the fall.

I was curious about a song she played mid-set solo/acoustic. She said something about being inspired about being in an outdoors venue.

The chorus had the repeated phrase, "who could love you more than me?" or perhaps "no one could love you more than me." It sounded like a cover, but I couldn't place it.

Does anyone know, or better yet, did anyone record it?

Review of Show in Berkeley, California by Kyle T.

Last night's show at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA was great. Much better and more upbeat than her last show in the area at Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco which was much more somber. Feist was playful all night, improving lyrics and chatting it up between songs. We heard about the origins of 'Honey, Honey', she recounted a few of her past shows in the Bay Area, she improved lyrics about a crowd member brandishing their iPhone/iPod for her to see and about a crowd member talking too loudly on their cell phone, she fielded a couple questions from some people near the front, and after messing up the lyrics to 'Gatekeeper', finished the song by singing; "Gatekeeper, teach me my own song." Before the encore, she closed her set with 'Sea Lion Woman' and brought the members of the opening band, The Golden Dogs, back on stage.

Overall, a great night. After seeing a very mellow, moody show at Nob Hill Masonic Center last year, it was awesome to see her in a larger rock venue where everything was amped up ten fold. Good times.

Feist in all her beauty!

Review of Show in Carrboro, NC by Easy Jesus

I went to this show after hearing one BSP song...figured it was worth checking out...no one else that i knew wanted to go, so i went alone. There were probably no more that 50 people at the Cradle, it was a Wednesday night. When Feist walked out...i was expecting a band...not knowing that she WAS Feist. She Played an amazing set, solo with the red guitar, and a loop pedal and mic for setting up some hand-clap rhythms. I think that everyone there was blown away by her talent, she was phenominal. After the set, she sat over in the "vendor corner" at the Cradle and hocked her own CD's while BSP set-up. After BSP played two songs i left, they were uneventful...making sure that on the way out I spoke to Feist and told her how incredible the set was. I knew then that she was destined for great things.

Review of Show in Park City, Utah by LG

Thought Nina Simone had exclusive dibs on See-Line Woman. Nope. Brilliant job last night by Feist, her band, and back up band. Absolutely brilliant.
